Requests to Inspect ACAT Case Files

Requests to inspect ACAT case files can be made in writing, by letter or by email, to the ACAT Registrar.

Requests should outline:

  • Matter reference number and party names
  • Your interest in the matter, including whether you are a party or not
  • Your reasons for seeking access to the file
  • Some proposed times you would be available to attend the ACAT to view the file.

The ACAT Registry will be in contact with you about the outcome of your request and, if appropriate, to make a time for you to attend the ACAT and inspect the file.  Our standard appointments are 30 minutes in length.  Please advise the Registry if you think you will require longer than 30 minutes to go through the file.

Please note that a fee applies to the copying of documents.

Please email your request to the ACAT Registrar at tribunal@act.gov.au, or refer to our contact details for further information.
